One of the most common questions we get at Vibe Arts is: What’s the right age to start LAMDA? The good news? There’s no "perfect" age – only the right timing for your child.
Entry Levels for Younger Performers
We welcome children as young as 6 years old into our LAMDA programme in Chislehurst. At this age, they can begin with the Introductory Stages, which are fun, gentle and build the foundations of speech, listening and confidence.
Growing Through the Grades
As children get older, they can progress through the grades (from Entry to Grade 8), choosing Acting, Verse & Prose, or Public Speaking. These qualifications not only support school success but also build long-term skills in communication, memory and self-expression.
Teenagers & UCAS Points
From Grade 6 and above, students can earn UCAS points – a great addition to university applications. It’s a brilliant way for teens to gain accreditation while doing something they enjoy.
Start With a Trial
The best way to find out if your child is ready? Book a paid Saturday trial session in Chislehurst. It’s a great way to explore LAMDA without committing to the full term upfront. Book here.
