"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players"
We offer our students the opportunity to take LAMDA examinations in Acting. In 2018 100% of our students passed their exams with Merit. The higher grades contribute towards UCAS points for applications in further education.
Storytelling has been around since the beginning of mankind. Our Acting classes are all about the development of effective communication,
confidence and character.
We work on various techniques including improvisation and text work. The varying demands of performance spaces requires strong vocal work which is a really important part of our training. The students work solo on monologues and in groups for scene work.
At Vibe Arts our singing teachers are qualified musicians.
It is important to us that our students are taught by somebody who is musically literate and can deliver vocal training accompanied by live music - a backing track is not enough.
Each class has a technical basis and consists of a group warmup to strengthen and increase vocal range whilst learning to sing as an ensemble. Each student will also have the opportunity to work solo within these sessions to encourage individual performance.
Our Dance classes cover the broad spectrum of Dance within Musical Theatre.
All of our classes have a technical basis so that progression can be made whilst offering multiple styles of performance. This diversity means that each student has the opportunity to find their strength in one or more genres of Dance.
We are focused on delivering training which encourages students to Act through Dance and creatively tell a story.
The structure of a typical class composes of Stretching, Strengthening and Fitness, Corner and Floor Work, Jumps and Choreography.
We offer an extra class that other Saturday schools do not! We believe that Acting, Singing and Dance is not enough to cover this broad industry.
At Vibe Arts we expose our students to various other facets of the performance industry including Puppetry, Stage Combat, Hair and Makeup, Accents, Stage Management, Music Theory and more.
We welcome special industry guests to work with our students for this class. Previous visits include a TV Workshop with Eastenders actor Danny-Boy Hatchard and a Lion King Makeup session with a leading Hair and Makeup designer from London's West End.
During show terms this time will also be used for rehearsal.
