Curious about what actually happens during a LAMDA exam? If your child is preparing to take one, here’s a reassuring peek behind the scenes.
Before the Exam
Your child will have prepared one or more performance pieces in weekly sessions with their Vibe Arts coach. They'll know the piece, the character, and the context.
On the Day
LAMDA exams are held either at LAMDA Drama School in London or another approved centre. Students perform their pieces in front of an examiner in a friendly, calm environment. The examiner may ask them questions about their choices, characters, or the meaning of the piece.
After the Exam
Marks are based on memory, technique, expression and understanding. Results arrive in the post or digitally, and every student receives a certificate. From Grade 6 upwards, these can earn UCAS points.
With Vibe Arts' support and tools like TutorBird, students feel ready and excited to perform.
